Subordinate clauses with the conjunctive word который qualify a noun in the principal clause and answer the questions:  какой? какая? какое? какие? The questions may be in any case with or without a preposition.

The word который corresponds to the English ‘which’, ‘who’ and ‘that’.

The conjunctive word который invariably agrees with the noun it qualifies in gender and number.

It may also take an oblique case. The case of который depends on its function in the subordinate clause.

A subordinate clause with the conjunctive word который may stand either at the end or in the middle of the principal clause.

As a rule it stands immediately after the word which it qualifies.
