The Dictionary contains about 20 000 modern Russian abbreviations distributed to 65 topics and 19 subtopics. In the Dictionary various types of abbreviations are presented: letter abbreviations, graphic abbreviations, contractions.
The Dictionary is addressed to linguists, translators, journalists, as well as foreigners learning Russian. Thanks to the thematic arrangement of the material the Dictionary will be helpful for workers of different fields of knowledge.
It has no analogue in the Russia. It is printed for the first time.
